Veal loin steak with cauliflower

Preparation

Take the meat out of the fridge an hour before preparing to come to room temperature.

Wash the cauliflower and remove all leaves. Heat a spoon of butter in a saucepan add the curry powder and heat and stir for a minute. Add the crème fraiche, mix and season with pepper and salt. Cover the cauliflower with the mixture and place in an oven of 180ºC (356ºF) for 30-40 min till cooked.

Grill the steaks in a grillpan and place in the oven for 10 minutes, leave to rest for 5 min.

Fry the sliced tomatoes shortly and season with pepper and salt.

Cut the loinsteaks in slices and serve with cauliflower (additional some broccoli) and the tomatoes, gravy to choice (shown with mushroomgravy).

  • 1 cauliflower
  • 200 ml crème fraiche
  • 5 gr currypowder
  • 2 tomatoes
  • pepper and salt
