We have been involved in veal and pig farming for quite some time, but with the construction of new stalls, we switched to the Peter’s Farm concept entirely. Those stalls are our pride. They are built in such a way that ammonia in the outgoing air is completely removed. Thus, there is no burden on the environment. We designed and built them ourselves. There are water dispensers that provide the calves with access to water all day long. Later, we installed special food troughs to give them unlimited access to muesli.
For us, Peter’s Farm represents working intensively with the calves. The dignity of the animals is very important to us. We want to be able to pick up any issues with the calves as quickly as possible. The IT provisions on a Peter’s Farm assist in that respect, as do the trained eyes of the farmer. What you get in return is affection. The calves get to know you. It is a wonderful feeling. Just like the moment the calves first arrive and need to learn to drink. It’s all hands on deck and everyone is just as caring.
In addition to the calves, we also have a number of hobbies. Bieke keeps goats and Johan is crazy about his cars. Johan also enjoys playing his keyboard.
