We both come from farming families. We grew up with a love of animals, which is why Peter’s Farm suits us so well. We had a pig farming business in Harskamp. When this business in Stroe came up for sale in 2008, we switched to veal farming. We have not regretted it for one moment.

Caring for the calves together

For the most part, we look after the calves together. It’s sociable and two heads are better than one. Each calf is different. What does it need in respect of care and attention? We always monitor that and discuss things with each other. The animals always come first. We each have our own tasks, but we can easily cover for each other. We received assistance in setting up the business.

The best compliment we could receive would be that the farm looks neat and well-maintained. That is the result of working together on something for which you both share a passion.
