In 1984, we decided to purchase a calf husbandry, because working animals appealed to us enormously. When we became acquainted with Peter's Farm, we were immediately inspired. This was the ultimate level of respectfully rearing calves.
Stall by stall, we adopted the system. Looking back, we were the third Peter's Farm in the Netherlands, which is something we’re very proud of. I would even dare to say that we love our calves. This makes it easier to deal with legislation, which is constantly evolving and is often strict and inflexible.
What’s the secret to our success? There is none. We exchange a great deal of our knowledge and experience with other Peter's Farm veal farmers. I am also convinced that a thoughtful and varied feeding schedule is the basis for good veal. We make the most delicious veal recipes with veal roulade and veal mince. Our favourite dish? Green beans with potatoes and a Peter's Farm veal schnitzel!
Our hobbies are our dogs, keeping birds and theatre. We have many different breeds of dog, including dachshunds, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Chihuahuas and a Kooikerhondje.
